Knowl Hill has a Village Hall, provided by the Steam Rally Trust and also St Peters C of E Church. It has a general shop on the Cholesey Estate and the Square Deal Café on the Bath Road. The pubs are Seven Stars and Old Devil Inn on the Bath Road, Royal Oak Pub Restaurant opposite the Common and Ring of Bells Pub Restaurant. The Village Hall is a large and well used facility. It has a successful Village School for local children up to 11 years old and a Village 'Kick About' area run by the Parish Council. Hurley Parish Council meets in the Village Hall about four times a year.

The Village of Knowl Hill is located about four and a half miles west of Maidenhead. It is mainly located along the Bath Road (A4), 'Around the Hill', the  area to the South and the Cholesey Housing Estate to the North of the Bath Road. It is unequally divided between the Parishes of Hurley to the West together with a smaller portion in Wargrave to the East. The Parish Church of St Peters is from the mid 19th century and is located to the South of the Bath Road. The village was famous for its Star Brickworks which closed in about 1998, and is now a landfill site. The picture to left shows the Seven Stars Pub and that below shows St Peters
