Hurley has The Rising Sun Pub as well as the famous Old Bell Inn. It has a Local shop and a post office both in the High Street. It has a Playground for children and playing fields for Adults as well as Tennis Courts. The Annual Regatta held on the River Thames is a popular but largely local event. Peter Freebodys Boats as well as Hurley Farm and Harleyford Caravan site are local businesses. The Village has a Hurley Preservation Society and a Hurley Village Association. The Village Hall is well used and Hurley Parish Council meets there about four times a year. |

The Village of Hurley is located on the banks of the River Thames between Marlow and Henley. It is mentioned in the Saxon Chronicles and was originally home to a monastic priory located near to the river. One of the oldest hostelries in Britain is the ye Old Bell Inn, one of the oldest Pubs in Britain dating from the twelfth century. Also in the High Street is the Village Hall which is only twenty years old, having being rebuilt after a fire destroyed it. The Village is totally within the Civil Parish of Hurley parish. The Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin is part of the Priory Church dating from the twelfth century and is also located nearby on the High Street |
