Burchetts Green has a Public House, The Crown, (above) which is also now  a restaurant, the other Pub, The Greyhound having been converted into a house in the 1980s.   The local preservation society is the Burchetts Green Village Association.  Hall Place is now the Berkshire  Agricultural College (right) which has a wide range of courses.  Burchetts Green  has retained an excellent  Primary School for children up to 7 years old.  It has recently been  greatly extended and hopefully now has a secure future.  Hurley Parish Council meets in the school about once a year

The Village of Burchetts Green is located about four and a half miles west of Maidenhead.  It straggles along the ancient highway joining the Abbeys of Reading and St. Albans.  The village houses, date variously from medieval times through to Victorian agricultural workers cottages.  Historically many local people were employed at Hall Place, the local mansion on the outskirts of the village , but now residents commute to such places as Reading and London.  The Green is owned by three local residents and is covered in trees.  Although there is a Parochial Parish of Burchetts Green, the village has no church and never has had.
